Product Reviews for Kurzweil SP88 Stage Piano Feature: Great piano sounds, lame tonewheel organ and electric piano sounds. Very light action. Quality: The keyboard itself has performed flawlessly on tons of gigs. However, I feel that Kurzweil should provide a more substantial power supply. The included one, which has an extremely thin, brittle cord, started to short out in a memorial service and nearly lost me $200.00! Value: Very inexpensive, nice sounding keyboard. Desirability: About as "Sexy" as a good fingernail clipper, but it does the job. Sound: I use it almost exclusively for the piano sound. And I am very happy with that. There have been a few occasions when I would like to have a Rhodes or B3 sound, and it's best to stay away from those on this instrument. Overall: Very inexpensive, lightweight, good sounding keyboard. if you're a real piano player you won't like the action, far too springy and light. But if you have to play background music in a hotel, tyou can schlep your entire rig in one trip.
