Product Reviews for Gibson BurstBucker 2 Pickup (Nickel) Feature: handsomely made....in the USA i might add.... Quality: All kool..... Value: Great value. Desirability: well i try not to pay any attention to Product "names"..or expert "reviews"..or any kind of spin that the Money people put on a product. I try to remain impartial and have went to extremes to judge a product on its actual merits (based in my reality), and have tried to cast out any type of influence through "other" sources that would bias my opinion on a product. Many times i am surprised at what i discover(like admitting that a $200. no-name import sounds better than a top dollar american made classic. Reality is sometimes hard to deal with, and some people absolutely refuse to deal with it.... Sound: Its a pretty close approximation of a vintage 59 paf, although in very high gain settings it squeals and occilates because of the lack of potting. But...i assume the lack of wax potting also contributes to the vintage sound...so its a trade-off. But all in all a very nice sounding pickup for 100 bux Ease of Use: zep fans take notice.....
