Product Reviews for Applause AE148 Acoustic-Electric Guitar Feature: The sound is good however I wish there were better electronics. for the price though its hard to beat. Quality: Quality is very good and should be road worthy. I have not taken it on the road yet but I beleive i will. Value: This guitar is worth much more than the selling price. Desirability: The look is of course An Ovation. Multi-sound holes and roundback make it a pure pleasure to look at. Sound: The sound is superb. This guitar is as good as an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe which costs $600. however it is a real bargain for under $300. Ease of Use: For an instrument of this price it is very palyable. just change the strings at once to appreciate the wonderful sound. Support: n/a Overall: It is not necessary to spend $1000 for an Ovation elite because I have played several of them and this guitar while not having the same exact woods is a bargain for the price. The electronics are DJ-2B and any tweaking if not satified with the sounds can be tweaked thru your amp or effects pedals.
